Having detached 0E90 in Plt 1 @ Dunbar I run the L/E round going from ED497 to behind ED818 then via ED492 to behind ED815. Finaly to ED497. Instead of joining to ^6E90 I just get the message "Train 6E90 in front" Any help would be most appreciated

Never had a problem with 6E90/0E90 joining but joins are sometimes problematic. Have you tried using the "shunt forward" feature in F2? That usually encourages them to join. Another trick is to edit 0E90's timetable in F2 and, in the locations list tab, highlight the last Dunbar entry and click on "Set current/next location."

I have tried both still no luck so I have resorted to deleteing the train from my time table. Having said that anymore ideas would be most welcome

Sometimes changing the direction of one of the portions is facing (use reverse direction in F2) helps. Other than that... no idea.

Rather than delete the train, do the run-round and try and join. If the portions won't join whatever you try, go into the f2 screen, right-click on 0E90 and remove it (under "extreme measures"). Then right-click on 6E90. Under the timetable options, you can "abandon join". This enables you to run the rest of the 6E90 TT correctly rather than using a Hand of God manoeuvre to wipe the train off the map.

There is one possibility that comes to mind. If the train arrives from Oxwellmains and stops short so that the back of the train overlaps the entry to the Up Siding, when 0E90 buffers up it thinks it has not yet arrived at Dunbar and so is not ready to join. If you have a look at the TT for 6E90, the entry for Dunbar should show "NX@30" as well as the DF 0E90 J 0E90 instructions. If you have a version of the TT that does not show that, click on the Dunbar entry and make the stopping position "Near End Exact" and the adjustment "30", then save the TT (or download Andy G's v1.3 from the Downloads section). The downside may be that the train will not then depart in the Up direction unless you either activate the GF and clear the shunt signal or wait for the driver to ring requesting authority to move.

Not sure if any of that will help, but it might be worth a try.
