Can I just make a brief reminder to people about reporting problems with sims, particularly if you get error messages like "Exception in WibbleCode".

  • The exact text of messages is important.

  • The most useful thing is a saved game immediately before the problem happens plus instructions on how to reproduce it.

  • Failing that, a saved game just after the problem happens may be useful, but evidence (e.g. which routes were set) may have already been wiped out.

  • While sometimes a screenshot is enough to make it clear what causes the problem, it's rare. In particular, a screen shot of an error dialogue box tells us nothing that the text wouldn't have done.
