many years ago actually worked at the old baker street then white city signal cabins.to show how long ago it was the central and northern lines still had gaurds on the back

Welcome. You'll find plenty of other signallers (LU call them "Controllers", don't they?!!) around here, including metcontrol, who's job is probably self-explanatory. hackenbacker said: to show how long ago it was the central and northern lines still had gaurds on the backThose were the days, I still vaguely remember travelling in the rear carriage and getting to watch the guard at work.
