Wanted to find out some information about these in the 1985 timetables thats in the sims. 1e35 and 1e31 about 30 mins apart, are they representative of a single train that joins or is it in actual fact 2 10-15 car sleeper trains. Any details on the consist and timetables (from edinburgh south to KX) would be really good to get ahold of. I have tried to find something on the internet but little info is available.
Are there historical pdf's or scans of WTT available on the internet?

They are separate trains.
There used to be somthing like 4 or 5 sleeper trains (or at least overnight- some were sleeper only and some were seating only as well as mixed) on the ECML between Edinburgh/Aberdeen and Kings Cross, plus some from within England (Newcastle, West Yorkshire and maybe Hull too. Some did combine en-route but others were wholly separate.
Some were named trains like the "Night Aberdonian", "Night Capitals" and "Night Scotsman" and more latterly "NightRider" which was more of a generic description of the day coach section with blue lighting.

That's off the top of my head- with further research I maybe able to come up with more information.

Hull never had a sleeper service. If I remember right trains to Hull at that night were passenger / newspaper trains.

Quite right Chris - too many overnights at Doncaster under the belt in my youth lol. Papers to Hull went via Leeds from Manchester Victoria and the ECS for the Hull Executive used to leave Doncaster in the small hours, oh to be able to hear the twin Napiers in the middle of the night working north again.

Cheers
