Hi
First of all, thanks to noisynoel for producing this tt. i've played up to about 0720 and have found a few tt clashes which i don't know if they have been reported yet or not.

The first one is there is a tt clash between 1P05 and 1P06.
1P06 is due to leave Didcot Parkway at 0612 and travel along the RL to reading where it stops at several stations along the way and is due for arrival at Reading at 0646.
However 1P05 which is due to leave Didcot Parkway 1 minute later, at 0613, is also to travel down the RL and somehow leapfrog 1P06 and arrive at Reading at 0629. Should 1P05 have a ML pathing rather than the stated RL?

The same Problem occurs with 1P08, which leaves Didcot at 0639 on the relief arriving at reading at 0705, and 1P07, which leaves Didcot at 0643 on the relief and arrives at reading at 0655.

Same with 1P25 and 1P24 both routed for RL, 1P24 leaves Didcot after 1P25 takes the relief lines and somehow arrives at Reading 10 minutes before 1P25 does.

1D09 enters the sim at 0652 at Reading Main line and is due to pass Moreton Cutting at 0719. However when he got to moreton cutting he was about 17/18 minutes early. Does he enter too early or is he ment to travel on the slow line rather than the main line?

The only other problem atm (apart from the 7B13 one in the other topic which i believe is a sim bug not a tt bug) is that all class 220 and 221 trains (in sim the cross country voyagers) and prohibited in real life from traveling on the main lines between didcot and reading in both directions because they are not fitted with ATP equipment. this is something that network rail impose and i have seen it written down somewhere (although i can't remember exactly where)

I will continue to play this tt and will report any other tt problems i find here.

Thanks
Nathan

Reason: Adding of 1P25 and 1P24

Didn't know that about the Voyagers which would have put a severe dent in my score when I had my first try with v2.227.

For Noel, I've picked up another couple of things which don't work as expected in the TT.

1. The 0DXX's running round at Didcot West End don't trigger the ARS if run into P4. They will work quite happily if the TTs are amended to P3 (as in previous TTs for this and the original Didcot). Which platform is actually used in real life?
2. Lots of Class 4,6 and probably 7 have booked stops at Hullavington or Swindon East (and maybe Highworth) but the TT does not put them into the loops. If you are running ARS you suddenly find something stopped on the Main with a queue building up behind it.

The lines/paths shown in the TT are those that are in the NR TT so they show exactly what the signaller sees in the box. I agree though that those trains should probably run ML. With regards to the voyagers, they are not banned, just restricted to 100mph.

I Saw a Voyager on the Mains at Tilehurst whilst waiting for my train to the London Meet in July. When they do use the mains, they normally take Tilehurst East Junction and switch to the relief lines ready to enter P7-9 at Reading. A handful use Tilehurst East Jn because of the large amount of peak 165/166s from Didcot, Oxford and Banbury that come through Platform 4 at Tilehurst (Up Relief Platform) that are often full of commuters. It therefore makes logical sense to put the Voyagers on the main, effectively overtaking a Turbo between Moreton Cutting Jn and Tilehurst East Jn.

Indeed I have been on many Voyagers crossing over to or from the main at Moreton Cutting too. Turbos don't have ATP either do they? There are non stop Oxford turbos that use the ML all the time, but I know I read non-ATP stock is supposed to be barred between Reading and Paddington but somehow I don't believe that. I have seen charters, turbos and one a Class 6 freight use the ML between Padd and Reading!

The current TT on the GWML from Didcot usually caters for the Manchester-Bournemouth services to run Up main to the crucible, with the Reading terminators (1Vxx), the evening Guildford, Southampton & Reading (1O32, 1O34, 1V94), and the daytime Southampton (1O80, 1O82, 1O84, 1O86, 1O88) "extra's" using the RL to West Jn before crossing over to access to platform 5 (1O32) or platform 3 (those listed above, with the exception for 1O90 which is now on 9 vice 3 at 1815 - whoever thought that was a good idea requires hitting with a stick!). Considering the surge in southbound 4Oxx workings in the last year, I will be amazed if there any paths left between Didcot and Reading, taking into account the 2Pxx every 30 mins and other freight workings that use the line.

Although those booked to use RL ex Didcot will of course use the ML (and v.v.) dependant on the service situation at the time, and any evening engineering possessions that may be in place.
