If a revamp of Cambridge is being considered now that the additional island platforms have been built then perhaps the work should also take into account this announcement made in the Governments Logistic Growth Review -

Strategic Rail Freight Network
..........................Ely – Soham doubling scheme that will remove a bottleneck on the Felixstowe-Nuneaton route, improving both freight and passenger capacity and reliability on this section of the route and increasing the attractiveness of freight paths between Felixstowe and Nuneaton, reducing demand for paths on more heavily congested routes via London;

Future Cambridge timetables could get verrrry busy me thinks.

I know two reception roads are to be added near Ely but I didn't think there were any current plans to double that part of the Soham line?

Are you sure its not just on a wish list for the future?

Would be nice to see a revamp of Cambridge with the new platforms and if at all possible to make it scrolly.

Cambridge revamp is being thought about but it doesn't have a high priority.

And I don't currently plan to make it scrolly; I like the paging.
