Hi all, ive been playing the new version of KX for a few hours now and wow what an improvement the new version is. Congrats to all its brill. im running the 1985 06.00 vers 5.33 and the time is 12.48 i do have a small prob at Hitchen however  ive had a second points failure when routing to royston. ive currently got 1r74 at sig 697 and wont move. Ive authorised it to pass signal at danger but the train wont budge and the driver hasnt rung back. its only been 10 mins since the failure but i had one earlier in the sim (08.27) that lasted about 45 mins and had the same problem. if i cancel the route the train then moves but it moves towards bigglesworth without me setting the route. :P< im confused. any ideas gratefully received Log in to reply |

Points may have failed 'normal' rather than 'reverse'? Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

If the points are not aligned for the movement, the train will not move. Just have the train wait till the failure is fixed. You work other trains around the failure. This is where it all gets interesting in knowing how to keep trains running. BarryM Barry, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Log in to reply |

If the points that have failed are the ones from Hitchin Platform 2 (Down Slow) onto the Down Fast then can you not route the train upto Signal 711 or even 715, tell it to turn around once it's cleared the points for the Down Yard then route it from shunt signal 232 to 220 (which I was able to do by select signal shunt signal 232 then shunt signal 690!!) then signal 699 to Down Cambridge or even shunt signal 220 to signal 688 (Up Fast) then turn the train around at 688 and route it from shunt signal 221 to Down Cambridge. A bit 'creative' but with some working (and a lucky gap in services) you could work around the points failre!
