For those unaware, the new Western Concourse at King's Cross is set to open from Monday 19th March. There will be a number of changes for passengers at the station. See this link for details.

Kings Cross has been like theMaginot Line recently, the "exit" ticket barriers at the end of Platforms 6-8 were brought into use though the line just ended in space so passengers could just walk round it. So there was a EC man standing there waving his arms around trying to get people to use the gate line. Quite amusing to watch a whole express train of passenegers Blitzkrieg him.

At first I was amused well actually thought it was stupid and then I thought what a brilliant piece of modern(?) directional signing at KX. Like it or loath it?

I saw some marketing girls with these this evening but did not have time see what they were promoting today - it was twin packs of Shredded Wheat yesterday.
