1990 Summer Timetable 17/03/2012 at 09:38 #30723

Good morning everyone.

Having given it a good, but not exhaustive, test, I've uploaded my first Simsig timetable, for Gloucester in the summer of 1990. Once it's approved, please enjoy and post any issues / errors here.

The next question is "what should be my next project?" I might go for something very recent, an early 1990s timetable which might be similar to this one, a late 1970s one or possibly an earlier version, which would require a workaround for the non-availability of Gloucester Eastgate and the Tuffley loop. Your suggestions are welcome. I have passenger WTTs for all periods but freight timetables are thin on the ground for recent years.

I think I'll give this a run through later. I'll let you know how it goes.

Thanks for the feedback.

1. I didn't have the freight times for the Swindon line so I left these as 00:00; I'll check out one of my other WTTs and make an educated guess on these.

2. I think Gloucester New Yard (North) to Barnwood Junction is a valid path. It's signal 435 to 39.

Western Champion,

I happen to have a set of freight WTTs for the WR for October 1990 (slightly late for your TT, but may help), drop me an email at wolvercotejn@hotmail.co.uk, and I will see what info I can send your way.

Cheers

The banker for 6M41A has a different TD to that shown in TT (0M41-1).

Thanks for that. I've amended and will upload a revised version once I've sorted out any other glitches.

I do have a 1965/66 working timetable for the area, which includes a number of steam-hauled trains. But the infrastructure then was very different to that on the sim, with many more loops, four tracking between Cheltenham and Gloucester and the Tuffley loop / Gloucester Eastgate station.

I've just started work on a 1978 timetable (the first one I've got which matches the sim layout), which will include plenty of engine changes at Gloucester!
