Could possibly be a multiplayer bug, I am currently in Joe_T's multiplayer session on Gainsborough panel.

I had a route set from signal TJ9 to TJ4 and then WB3 for train 2K36 as I mistakenly thought it was heading towards Clarborough Junction and not Bessacarr Junction. Realising my error as the train was approaching TJ9 I cancelled the route at TJ4, but the route at Trent West Junction released straight away rather than having any form of approach locking and the driver did not report an adverse change of aspect despite the obvious change from green to single yellow at TJ9 and single yellow to red at TJ4.

Depends on whether the driver was within the sighting distance to TJ9.

Latest simulations are more realistic in this respect, with older versions you would have probably got an ACoA when the train was anywhere in the berth TC

I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.

When Steve told me about this on TeamSpeak, there was a slight misunderstanding and during my testing with 2K36 I had cancelled the route from Signal WB3 then from TJ4 and despite the signal dropping in-front of the train there was no ACOA.

(I was composing this post before AndyG had replied)

If I'm not mistaken, TJ9 is a semaphore in reality - not sure whether it's simulated as such. I doubt there's braking distance between TJ9 and TJ4. That being the case, Trent Jn's distant would have told the Driver that both TJ9 and TJ4 were 'off' - so I'd argue that it *should* have been identified as a COA; indeed from G to R at the point that the Driver became aware (as TJ9 would give no updated information, being a semaphore).

Apologies if I've got the wrong end of the stick - I've not got access to the sim or any information on the 'real' situation at this moment!
