Intentional I expect. Late TRTS due to platform boys making a brew!

The train could have been delayed. A two minute delay could be due to assistance being given to a passenger. You would normally receive a phone call (F6) or an incident report (F7) telling you why a train is delayed and it's expected departure time. If you receive a telephone call it may ask if you're going to revert the signal back to danger or not, or it might just say "OK, train xxxx delayed" (or something like that, with xxxx being the train headcode (i.e: "1A01".). Otherwise the incident report (looks like a printer) may flash and when you look at it, it will show a time report received, the train headcode, the reason for delay and also an expected departure time. Alternatively it is possible that the train arrived late so it's departure time would also be later. Hope this helps! Also you can F2 it and see why the train isn't moving, if it's a 1985 TT I suspect there's a timetable rule forcing it to stand to simulate something (servicing, etc.)

It's been a while since I played Gloucester for me to try and remember which is P2 but would the 2 minute delay have anything to do with waiting for the Horton Rd crossing to clear. Tim Log in to reply |

Same thing happened to me when playing the new Gloucester a few days ago. I wasn't waiting for TRTS, I normally get Horton Rd down a minute or so before scheduled departure, but train after train didn't then leave until 2 minutes late. I did have Train Delay Probability and Amount set to non-zero values, but this seemed to be happening far more often than it should have done even given those settings. For example trains weren't regularly leaving Cheltenham or Bromsgrove two minutes late.

Just been looking at Gloucester and whilst I cannot yet work out why this is happening, I have a couple of ideas that you may be able to try. Idea #1 At the booked departure time (check the timetable carefully to make sure it's not something like 12:30[sup]1/2[/sup]) you could go into the Train List (F2) and select "Shunt Forward" for the train in question to see if that makes it move. Idea #2 Before the train departs add a quick sticky note (yep I do love 'em) somewhere appropriate/suitable with the headcode for the train. At the booked departure time (check the timetable carefully to make sure it's not something like 12:30[sup]1/2[/sup]) you could go into the Train List (F2) and select "Abandon Timetable" then the train should move off so you should then go back into the Train List and select "Run to another timetable" then reassign the same headcode (the one I suggest that you make a note of with an on-screen sticky note). For both of these to work you should ensure that you've set the route already for the train and where needed lower the barriers at Horton Road LC as required. I cannot even promise that this would work however it's surely worth a try?!! Good luck!
