Impressed by the subtitles... Signaller at Ashford picks up the CSR and says: "Hello Driver, yeah, it's the signalman area 83 Ashford, over." Subtitles come up with: "Hello John, yeah it's sitting on area 83 Ashford, over"

Excellent basic intro into signalling. Love the screenshots at Ashford. If I was unsure how close Simsig is to real life, I certainly aren't now.

Video 8 of 15 is of my colleagues and good friends on the test trains I was around when they filmed the stuff on the NMT. I was told at the time the videos have been made to target college kids and inspire the youth of today to consider an career on the railway. Log in to reply |

Very good video. I particulary liked the chap at Ashford chatting away to the camera while an array of TRTS lights are flashing away on the panel. It's just like when I play Simsig.

An interesting video, but did anyone else spot the train "reversing at speed" past the 'box at Uttoxeter, complete with red lights at the front, and the subtitler translating the Uttoxeter bobby's use of the word cable as gape :-)
