Its broadcasting on three Evenings. All on BBC 4.

Thursday 13th September - 21:00

Friday 14th September - 01:45

Saturday 15th September - 22:40

Seems to be available now on that link, Sam. I hope its on Virgin Media catchup; thats my viewing for tonight sorted!

'The Age of the Train' programme shown last night on BBC4 is repeated again on BBC4 on this Saturday night 2240 - 2340.

Yes but we've had the terrestrial digital streams ever since the days of ITV Digital in about 2000 and then Freeview when that died. The only difference the changeover makes is that the analogue signal is turned off.

I recorded it and was looking foward to watching, but there is annoying signage appended so I abandoned the idea.

Slightly disappointed with the programme! I thought there was going to be more about the train. However, most of the program seemed to be about Jimmy Savile and the advertising campaign!

Still, overall a good insight into what was going on at the time.

I felt the same, I was hoping it would be more about the design and test of the train. Interesting look back at that period of the railways though.
