For anyone interested as to how I am doing with my Three Bridges ASC timetable based on 08th May 2022 the latest updates are as follows at the time of writing this post.

- - - - - - - snip
I have revised the UIDs for all the Thameslink passenger workings into a different format from other trains in the timetable and plan to do likewise with the duplicate Southern passenger workings to make the right timetables come up. A thought which occurs to me though: would that work only with trains terminating in sim (which the Southern ones in question don't do) or will it work also work on trains entering from Sutton? Time will tell but if it worked then this would be instead of having 4-digit headcodes in the trainlist such as 2B361 & 2B362. There are also duplicate headcodes at Selhurst where trains entering on the Slow line and terminating at Selhurst (due to the closure of the Up & Dn Victoria Slow from Selhurst Jcn to East Croydon for engineering works) rather than continuing to West Croydon work ECS into the depot in order to reverse.
snip
- - - - - - -

HTIOI,
Dave
Having for example 2B56SN1 as 2B56SN2 as UID's (or whatever differential you are using) but just the headcode as 2B56 will work fine and the correct train will enter from any entry point in the sim. Obviously if any trains are referenced in rules etc then you'll need to use the UID as the references and not just the four digit Headcode

Thanks for this. It has more recently occured to me that the UIDs I have given may not come out too well in the line-up window but they should be OK in the F2 list. I spent a while thinking about what to do before deciding on a four-part UID.

For example I have 2 Thameslink workings with the headcode 9T22. The First is the 1118 Haywards Heath - Harpenden and the other is the 2307 Haywards Heath to Harpenden! If there had only been one I would have given it the UID of 9T22HHEHPD (headcode, NR origin station code and NR destination code) but now that I have two I came up with something different to try and distinguish them and it is in this format:

[operator abbreviation][headcode]_[departure time from start][NR code for destination]

So this means that, for example, the 9T22 leaving Haywards Heath (HHE) for Harpenden (HPD) at 1118 has the UID of TL9T22_1118HPD with the evening one having the UID of TL9T22_2307HPD. With the 2 numbered as 5A89 the one at Brighton (0508 Lovers Walk T&RSMD - Brighton), which is the Southern one, is UID'd as SN5A89_0508BTN with the Thameslink one at Three Bridges Up Siding North being UID'd as TL5A89_0701TBD. Odd perhaps but I couldn't think of anything better at the time and I didn't know about the impending addition of the line-up window. Trains with no duplicate headcodes retain the other format.

I will do the Southern duplicates with the same UID format as the Thameslink duplicates.

HTIOI,
Dave

I too am putting my final touches to the MGR coal plan in My Doncaster Station & Doncaster North May to July 1991 TTs[aka as summer 1991), along with having updated my Doncaster South TT too. This has pretty much taken up all of my time since the start of September & have worked on it pretty much everyday to get to where I am atm. Even as single player games there will be very busy. At this precise moment in time I sorting out the MGR coal worksings from Down Decoy Reception Sdgs to a number of collieries before loading & heading off towards the Aire Valley Power Stations which is by far the largest amount of traffic on both the Doncaster station & Doncaster North sims. There are also a largfe number of additional trains in these timetables taken from my large collection of Special Traffic Notices incl. Charters, Company charters, Footex's & test trains. The sims at present have this number of trains in them, but may well increase from the figure listed below before they get released:-
Doncaster South TT - 549 trains.
Doncaster Station - 1637 trains
Doncaster North - 1128 trains
I'd like to conduct a chain games with all 3 sims chained together running this 1991 TT in the New Year subject to if all the sims versions have been publically released by that time. I've kinda given myself a finishing target of the end of the year to get it all done before testing starts. Those users who prefer the BR era & also want a challenge then look out for these 3 timetables when they are released, they are all busy in their own ways.

Now these are timetables that I'm looking forward to. Good work Pascal :)

Next in line from me will be Wolverhampton 1975 (TUE-FRI), as it uses the same WTT's.
Fairly well advanced, having been tested for/with the newly updated sim.

I am likely to then do a SAT version separately.

Bill
Wolverhampton 1975 TUE-FRI now finished and out there.
Wolverhampton 1975 SAT will follow, likely 0000-2200, which will still have a fair bit of freight / parcels / news initially and more ECS & passenger traffic daytime including through Aberystwyth trains.

I am also considering matching Telford-Oxley timetable(s), but will need to see if the bodgery needed on the freight side to cope with not having Wellington yard on the sim is acceptable to me.

Just an update on my Doncaster Nov 2023 timetable..

Progress slowed over the Christmas period, but the passenger trains have all been completed. It's just the freight which needs doing, just a few trains left to do.

Been doing a bit more work on my TBASC 8th May 2022 timetable this afternoon. I am now down from 131 warnings and 1 rule warning to 55 warnings and 0 rule warnings. The remaining warnings are mostly to do with UIDs but there are some trains which have been without traction settings. These will be corrected over the next few days.

Once I have sorted the remaining warnings I will have to do work to trains which enter from Sutton on the Up Wallington: I am going to create rules to ensure that trains which enter from Sutton don't appear until after their previous workings - which run to Sutton with quite a few continuing to Epsom Downs - have left. This is to make provision for when services between West Croydon and Sutton run late.

So there is a bit of a way to go yet but I hope to get this timetable out soon for testing before the 2 year anniversary of my starting work on it comes round!

Dave

Update on my trilogy of Doncaster timetables covering the period of May to July, 1991. I'm still working on these 3 timetables & still adding trains to them.
Doncaster South currently has 572 trains in it.
Doncaster station currently has 1,895 trains in it.
Doncaster North currently has 1,192 trains in it.
I'm aiming to start testing the Doncaster station timetable in about a fortnights time. Once the final issues with the Doncs North & South sims have been fixed, I can then test those 2 timetables. After that at some point a chain between all 3 timetables over the 3 sims will need to be arranged. The biggest TT of Doncaster station I suspect will end up having somewhere in the region of 1,950 & 2,000 trains in it in total at a rough guess.

There are only 2 panels on the Doncs station sim & so far this week I've had someone assisting me. If there comes a time when I have no one I might PM you. At present I'm up to 19.30 sim time & the remainder of the run through should be completed tomorrow Sat 20th Jan, 2023. I've got to sort out a few things before the next run through, but I am getting there. That said thanks for asking.

Little update nothing big..

Two lots of Manchester Piccadilly timetables are in the middle of been finished up and testing these focus on the line closures.
Wednesday 14th February when the line was closed between Lostock Jn and Crow Nest Jn and Wigan Wallgate/Southport for engineering works. This means all the Wigan services via this route all terminated at Bolton. This doesn't affect the services via Atherton.
Saturday 17th February when the line was closed between Salford Crescent and Crow Nest Jn via Atherton for engineering works. This means all services to Wigan have to go via Bolton.

Into the Middle with Crewe, I have a timetable based on 20th January 2024 that saw major engineering works between Cheadle Hulme, Macclesfield, Stoke-on-Trent. Also the closure of the Trent Valley at Colwich for signalling change overs. This timetable is half way through testing and should be available by end of this month if all goes to plan.

Over to east side of things,
I have made a start on Doncaster Station timetable to get myself familiar with the area for timetables. This will be based on the actual WTT on the final week of the December 2023-June 2024 timetables. Made some good progress with most of the LNER in place.

There will be a few updates coming along for the following timetables, for improvement and consists.
Crewe Pre-Covid 2020
Crewe PSB Covid-19 Lockdown May 2020
Crewe PSB Covid-19 Lockdown November 2020

I currently have a Doncaster Summer 1981 Weekdays timetable 4/5s of the way complete, with the last 1/5 being the fine details and finessing. This has been in development for some time now and I shall be commencing testing on this shortly. It should prove something of a different challenge to the 2009/15/19 timetables.

My Saltley 1992 timetable remains written with testing incomplete and will now sit on the back burner until Doncaster is completed.
Doncaster station 1981 has now run through two 24 hour tests and is awaiting its third (and hopefully final) round of testing after a few additional trips and STN workings are added in.

I've almost finished writing Doncaster South 1981 which will chain to the station. Once these are both released I'll be doing North as well.

Going into writing although this will take me longer so don't expect to have this timetable out until later in the year..

Easter at Crewe:
This is a Two-Day (48hr) timetable based on Friday 29th March & Saturday 30th March 2024. Engineering works are taking place at many locations on the WCML.

Following timetables are in testing:
Crewe - Saturday 20th January 2024
Man Piccadilly - Wednesday 14th February
Man Piccadilly - Saturday 17th February

Mini Doncaster Station Update:
I finally have the main bulk of Doncaster Station complete for the final week of the WTT. Currently having fun over in the Decoy Receptions working out what does what one they terminate!.

Another timetable has been submitted, this time it was a re-release of the York 25th March 2022 timetable by @BenWright with full permission to do so.

The timetable has been updated to make better use of the facilities available to the SimSig Signaller.

Now approved and ready for download
