Hello everyone,

Im from Germany and enjoy SimSig - good stuff.

I read the Eustom manual, however, I still hve some issues. I might oversee something but thought I would check in here.

1. I dont seem to be able to connect 64->46. I awlays have to give trains way by "pass at danger".

2. What is the signal route from the Down CS to Willesden Junction via SL?

Any help would be much appreciated,

Cheers,
Macc

Hi Macc,

Welcome to Simsig, glad you're enjoying it.

Euston signal 64 is a main running signal, and 46 is a shunt signal. For normal services you'll mostly be wanting to set routes between running signals only (the ones with round signal heads), and can ignore shunt signals (triangle-shaped signal heads). In this case, 64 is the last main signal before the buffer stops at Euston, so you can set a route directly into the station using the grey arrows at the end of the platforms. Remember that Euston station throat has blue 'via' buttons as well though, which you'll need to click as well. These are described briefly in the Euston manual (I know you said you've read it but I'll leave the link here for anyone else reading this thread in future).

To get from the Down CS to the Slow Lines, the route is 66/67 > 73/68 > 88 > 105 > 124.

Hope that helps!
Josie

Shouldn't need to route to 46, just route right into the platform.

Maybe Im stupid or something :-)
Ok, I have a train waiting at 86. I click on 86, then the dot near K and then the grey triangle at platform 9 - nothing happens... just "no route between selected signals"...

theres a set of route tables in the manual which will help with the throat

The shunt signals in the Euston throat are purely there to allow locos (or possible trains) to come out of one platform and into another. There are no routes from the running signals to them.

Hi Macc,

If you have a train stopped on the track circuit that protects the signal 86 and want to put it on Platform 9, do the procedure below:

Signal 86 to Signal 64

Signal 64 + VIA BUTTON "K" + Arrow Platform 9.

If you need help with the Panel "Euston" send me private messages, and i will explain you how to proceed. Also I will record a video of the gameplay on this panel later, on my youtube channel.
