has any one got a (readable) diagram of the station approaches fore Manchester stations? i'm planing on making a mock up of the psb and north signal boxes. so if any one can help it will be much help. ali Log in to reply |

Map of Manchester Picc- Salford Crescent attached, I hope it's legible! The main signal locations are correct, however the subsidaries and shunt signals are educated guesses. I can also do Salford Crescent to Blackrod and Crow Nest via Bolton if you want. I'm afraid I can't help with Manchester Piccadilly south or the approaches to Victoria, I don't travel over them that often. Couple of notes: MOSI= Museum of Science and Industry The sidings at Ordsall Lane are rather snapily called "Salford & Manchester Rail Freight Facility"- Creative Logistics. As far as I am aware they aren't used regularly The Up Sidings at Salford Crescent aren't used. There might be an LOS signal on the Up Bolton to allow shunts in the Down direction out of Salford Crescent avoiding line, but I'm not certain. Please forgive the crudity of the model, I didn't have time to build it to scale or paint it etc. Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Bugali if you were more specific about which Manchester stations & what lines & relevant era you want I maybe able to help. Apart from having an extensive number of signalling notices from recent years going back to early 1970s I may have something which I can scan as well as having some route maps in PDF format.
