Another Bob & Paul Dalton photo shows 47378 passing Proof House Junction, outside Birmingham New Street with a passenger train. Date unknown. Bob & Paul Dalton were brothers who worked for BR, one of them was a manager at Bescot.

Another Bob & Paul Dalton photo shows an LMS 2F working a freight train up the Lickey Incline, no doubt being banked in the rear by some other steam loco judging by the smoke, maybe 'Big Bertha'. Date unknown.

BREL (York) Class "313/0" Standard Class II 25k v ac overhead/750v dc 3rd rail 3-car inner-suburban emu No.313 012 in BR Rail Blue & Grey livery with all yellow front ends (note large numbers) at Drayton Park on a service from Old Street during the first week of operation over the former London Transport's Northern Line between Moorgate and Drayton Park although the former station was not to be opended for another week, 09/76. Scanned photograph taken with a Kowa SET.

This photo & the next were taken when I was on the footplate at Bedford. on this particular day the overhead wires had come down on the WCML south of Nuneaton & as usual all the WCML trains from Manchester Piccadilly, Liverpool Lime Street, Preston, Holyhead were diverted into St. Pancras. This photo shows 47095 passing on the Up Fast line at Chimmney Corner between Bedford & Flitwick working a diverted WCML service to St. Pancras. I was on 56063 working 6V76 Cliffe Hill - Hayes & Harlington Tarmac train on 270387.
