Tester Development Programme is back 18/11/2012 at 21:32 #37682

Over winter I am going to be running my tester training programme again, last ran but abandoned a few years ago.

What will the programme involve?

Being trained in the mechnanics of how SimSig works
Understanding of standards used by signaller designers
Learning the rules of putting sims together
Becoming one of my testers and working on my next release

Who is eligible?

For actual testing, the time you donate is yours to decide, as little or as much as you can. (It is after all unpaid.) However, you will need to be able to spare some time during the programme.
Ideally I am looking for people who are not already involved in Simsig but want to be.

What are the rewards?

Testers I choose with this programme are different to those who are asked to normally volunteer in that you are trained with a detailed knowledge of how a sim is made up and works, and give you better appreciation of signalling and Simsig.
You will get more closely involved with Simsig and it's team.
Some people who have previously passed through the programme have gone on to become developers in their own right.
Getting credited on my sim releases

How do you sign up?

Drop an introductory email to me at kds at SimSig dot co dot uk. <address is broken up to prevent spambots> Please DO NOT post a forum reply or private message.
As there are limited places, there may be some form of tests to choose the best

Look forward to hearing from budding testers
