Please find attached a sequence of Absolute Block bell codes between boxes that seem to fail ... it does this on all boxes

Looks like you found the Welwyn release by accident...

I have found the same also.
What I have done to reinstate the full red light that indicates (train on line) is to just right click once on the box that accepts the tol and that puts the red light back to the block.
When I first encountered this I did notice that you got penalties for not putting train on line, however when I reinstate as I have described above there is no penalty.

just my own question to add (I have looked at the manual for guidance first!)

when i offer a train from box A to box B and box B accepts, i get a green button as per the manual. however as soon as i pull off the section signal, the button at box B begins to flash. I have not sent TES so have not prompted any such action.

is this standard sim behaviour or am I making some sort of glaring error? the manual makes no reference to the flashing green display on the block.

It's such a long time since I wrote the code for that. It was a bit of a nightmare to get to work and nearly got pulled at one point. For some reason however, it seems to be flashing on green after the 10 seconds and if I can't figure it out I'll remove it.

However, it can only go to open circle if it's flashing (there is no other state that will allow it) so what you've captured must be a mid flash. The flashing is just so the receiving box (in m/Play) can see for 10 seconds after the ding - which bell it was if he controls more than one box. If it's flashing at the wrong time it can see it can be confusing.

It's supposed to be a bit of fun so don't take it too seriously.

Not at all peter, trains were running smoothly, i just wanted to make sure i was going about it the right way. I do quite like the way AB has been done.

On the specific question from the pictures I can't reproduce the reversion from R to W state in the last picture. What were the circumstances?

It just changes of its own accord, I have done some testing with the double click speed of the mouse but it still changes to white .. its as though one should right click 3 times & not two .. bit like 2 > 1 (out of section)

There are three basic operational states (G/W/R) but each state has a steady or flashing representation. So whether white solid or white flashing it's the same operational State, just represented differently. The flashing is just to represent the resonating of the bell, if you will.

What was wrong was that when the flashing timer stopped then instructions to switch to the relevant solid state were flawed.
