Could you post a screenshot? It sounds very unusual.

Thanks, I can see what your problem is now.

The train is occupying the track circuit indicated with an arrow, therefore the route that you set into the platform hasn't been cleared on this track circuit. Threfore, when you attempt to set a route from 449, it sees that that track circuit still has a route set in the other direction and displays the error message. In reality (since the track circuit is ahead of 449) the driver will be beyond the signal anyway. To solve, either shorten the train (remember though that the back end is now at the London end of the station and you'll have to reverse it to get it inside the signal) or move the points manually and keep them there until the train has left. The driver may phone for permission to move, or he may not.

Hope this helps.

Driver proceed had an interesting effect on the Track circuit indicator - What would the "bobby" do if he saw this display?

When the TC is occupied but a route is not set, the TC will 'flood', i.e. light up in it's entirety as opposed to just one section. From your picture though, it looks as if you've got the points set for it to go on to either the Up Slow or New England Yard- I thought you were sending it on the Down Fast?

On a newer sim the driver would phone for authority to proceed. As and when Peterborough gets updated, it will do that.

That's good to hear but the layout of Peterborough will be changing massively after the project has finished and will look nothing like the existing Sim.
