Hugh,

You might want to start a separate thread regarding your issue rather than tag it on on the end on this one as your problem, at least on the face of it, are nothing to do with saved games.

Moderator -> can you split Hugh's post off into a new thread??

That aside though, unfortunately you've not provided enough detailed information on your problem to offer any serious solutions, it would be merely guesswork at this point. If you could give some more precise details, for example, what are you doing to read the timetables and what is it that's unreadable, then that would greatly assist us to be able to help you.

Split into new thread. Hugh, could you at least post a screenshot? As Chris says, it's rather hard to diagnose with little information.

Hugh,

OK, lets do this in reverse order.....Phone support is, I am afraid, very, very, very unlikely. SimSig is a hobby even to those, like me, who are part of it's creation. Those involved, me included, do it as and when they can from wherever they happen to be, usually from home. The developers and testers are spread far and wide across not only UK but also, well beyond. As a consequence, there is no central office or contact point and thus no phone number to call. The only support the community can offer is via this forum.

Now as for your issue, I understand you aren't technical, so I'll try and keep things as simple as I can.

Screenshots are taken by using pressing a specific key combination on your keyboard. Press the Control key (usually marked CTRL) and, whilst holding the control key down, also press the print screen key (on my keyboard its labelled "prt scr"). Doing so will take a snapshot of what's currently shown on your monitor and place it on your clipboard. There is no indication that anything has happened when you do this.

So, once you have taken the screen shot, you can then open Paint and "paste" the screenshot into it. Once that's done, save the image as a file. Once its saved, you can then create a new forum post and attach it that post by using the "Attachments" box which appears just below the window you type your forum post in (you won't see this box till you start making a reply).

Hopefully, if you can follow the above and post a screen shot that will help us see what the problem is. If you cannot, for whatever reason, post a screenshot, then any sort of written description as to what you are doing would help.

You need to follow the next steps Lardybiker mentions in his post...

Otherwise, could you follow Lardybiker's alternative advice...

O.K i'll give this a try.I have the NWC sim up and running on the screen in front of me.I can see all rhe trains entering running along and departing.I can read all the train id's etc.If i left click on the train id i get a window that all the text is clear to read.I can also read clearly the text in the message window too. When i click on the timetable tab however a larger window opens. It then all goes pear shaped so to speak. The text is only visible as half a line for each train and is almost unreadable and the rules are the same.
I have tried going to the personalization page on my windows and altering things there but then i can see even less of the text on the siimulations.I wish i'd never changed from XP now but that is supposed to be progress.

Try clicking on the offending window to get its focus.
Press CTRL and roll the mouse wheel.
The size should expand or contract.
Set it at the same size as the other windows text.

Hope that helps.

Sounds like your DPI isn't set to 96, SimSig breaks when it's anything else.

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/443-dpi-display-size-settings-change.html might help.
