My favorite TOC is Arriva Trains Wales and then probably Virgin and then East Midland Trains.

West Coast Railway Company, because they are the only TOC to exclusively operate proper trains.

I do work on the railway thank you very much, and today there are more trains, alot more passengers, and higher speeds, as well as more scope for problems it must be said, but that down to modern technology being what it is.

BR had lots of loco hauled trains which is slower, and also we're geting lots of plans for better railways. besides transformations. so before this gets out of hand... lets just speak about current TOC's.

There maybe more trains running on the network today, but most of the people you speak to who worked on the railways when it was BR much preferred it then when the railway was run by railwayman & not by accountants & the subsequent mass of paperwork involved in running a train from A to B.
