Hi,

I hope I've posted this in the correct place and that I'm not raising something that has already been covered. I did search for "carlisle restricted aspects" but didn't find anything.

There are a few things I'm noticing with the restricted aspects when running the 1979-80 TT. CE264 behaves as expected when the sim is first loaded (CE261 and CE264 both exhibit YY) but after first train has passed I never get them both showing YY again.

CE524 doesn't clear until a train reaches it even when a clear route is set all the way through.

Today started a new game and auto signal CE489 is also holding at red even when a clear route has been set from the signal in advance.

Also having problems getting trains into Eastriggs MOD. Trains don't stop at the GF and instead run through Annan then exit sim (sorry can't remember train involved). Don't recall this when I first started playing this sim.

I did read the manual when I first started playing this excellent sim but maybe I need a refresher.

I can't recreate this on the version I have that I am preparing for rerelease (I don't have a copy of the version that got released to hand)

This has already been reported on the forum in the past and will be fixed in the next release

I don't have this problem. Are you loading from save? If you have restrictive aspects turned on, and the route from CE483 needs to be reset then the route won't clear

I have retested using 6T87 and found no problems.

Tom,

I look forward to the re-release (yes I know it'll be ready when it's ready). 1980s Carlisle is currently my fav sim. Thanks for not biting my head off re CE524 !!

The issue with CE489 holding at red was evident immediately upon starting a new game. I'm on my 19th run through the 1979-80 TT and this is the first time this has occurred. Can't see anything on the incident report warning of a failed lamp and in any case it clears to green as a train reaches it. Would it behave like that if one or other of the yellow lamps were out ?

Just started another game and CE489 is behaving normally.

have you checked that locations are stepping correctly? if the train has jumped a location (for whatever reason) and so doesnt show next location as eastriggs then it will bypass the GF as the driver doesnt yet know hes booked to go there (he would be looking for the previous location.)
