Is there a bug with signal 105? If the points in advance are set to the DF, and I set a route to signal 122, signals 73 and 82 return to danger while the points change, and then clear again once the points are in position, causing an ACOA to a train in the platform at Euston. This does not occur if the points are swung manually towards the through siding, without a route being set to 122.

Sorry if this has already been brought up, I had a quick look on the forum/Wiki/manual and couldn't find anything.

I'll call up my IRL mate in S&T and send him out there right now.

Seriously though, which era does this occur in? Can't seem to recreate this at the moment in 1990s era?!

Think you may need to provide more details. Which signal did the ACOA occur at; what routes were set out of the platform(s) (from, and to, etc.); etc.; etc.

It occurs in 1980s mode, when a route is set to signal 105 from 83 or 88. The bug only occurs when the points in advance (380) are set towards the Down Fast and a route is subsequently set from 105 to 122. The signals in rear (83 or 88) drop to red while points 380 move, and clear again once the points are in position.

EDIT:

The ACOAs are slightly irrelevant and I probably shouldn't have put them in the original post- they're caused by signal 72 also dropping to red (which is correct behaviour if signal 83 is at red), which in turn changes the platform starter from green to yellow. This is all correct behaviour, except the fact that signal 83 shouldn't go to red in the circumstances detailed above.

Right, gotcha now - couldn't recreate originally as you mentioned 73 and 82 instead of 83 and 88?!

Have recreated now - in 80s and 90s eras.

I'm going to report this on the bug board [#8902], with credit where it's due :), due to the fact that you can swing the points manually and not have 83 or 88 revert to red, but then those sigs do revert to red upon setting a route to 122.

Nice spot/find - might have actually been the cause of an ACOA I had when I last played Euston myself, so I'll also go and add an addendum to my statement regarding that ACOA!

Cheers! :cheer:

There is something unusual about the overlap of 105, but I don't see how this can cause this problem. In particular, the overlap swinging code doesn't care *why* the overlap is being swung. I'll have to investigate further.
