Playing Kings Cross Sunday 2003-2004 and due to late running 5D15 and 2D96 have arrived at platform 9 in the wrong order.

I was expecting to have to reassign the units in order to get them to join, but low and behold they automatically started to join.

I'm probably wrong, but my recollection was that this wouldn't happen and that in the F2 menu both trains would complain that they were waiting for their respective comrade.

Am I remembering this wrong?

It does not matter which train arrives in the platform first. As long as both trains have the correct headcode of the train they are joining in their schedule they will couple together. When the first train arrives F2 will say "Waiting for joining train" XXXX.
For anyone adding a joining instruction to a train,s schedule it is important to include all the characters of a headcode if more than four.

And to order the activities in the right order - i.e. join, before new/next working.....
