Hi

I am sorry if I have somehow missed the answer to this, but the trains sat in Aylesbury Sidings are sat here telling me they are at the buffer stops. What am I supposed to do about them, looking at their timetables they should divide and then sit quietly until their next departures but they are all ringing in...

many thanks

Don't worry... sussed it. aparently you have to reverse its direction so that it heads towards its signal then reverse it again so it heads back to buffer stops. when it gets there it will start dividing.

Is this how it is supposed to work?

This is also the case at Marylebone. It is all the trains when you open the top timetable in the list 00:00 start

thanks

Hi, I think the seed trains have extra locations in the timetable before the place where they are seeded. This means the seed train doesn't find the "next" location in the timetable - eg the ones at Aylesbury siding are looking for the first location in the timetable "Aylesbury (station)" and they don't get there before reaching the buffer stops.

Easiest thing to do is to firstly go to F2, select the train, right click, Edit timetable, go to the Location list tab, then select the last location in the timetable (which should be where the train actually is) and click "Set Current / Next Location".

Now the train is "looking" for the right place, but it's already gone a tad too far. In the F2 list again, select the train, right click and choose Signalling Options | Reverse Direction. The train will turn round and start moving away from the buffer stops. Now do exactly the same thing again (this time it'll be moving so you'll also have to click "Yes" to the Train in motion message, and the train will head back towards the buffer stops - this time stopping and carrying out the divide / next train instruction when it reaches the end of the siding.

Same for the ones at other locations.

Ah, you sussed it - good.
In the t/t version I've been using (combined, 0400 start) the seed trains only have the terminating location so they work fine.
I've notified Noel (via the bug board) and I expect a future update of the timetables will appear when he gets a chance.

I was just about to update this post again to say that you need to remove locations from the timetables. If you pause the sim and go through them all you still have to do the reversing but then it splits fine!

Or save the TT with the locations removed then start a new game with the revised TT.
