With the bundled timetable, at around 06:00 sim time I notice a problem for Brighton platform 4.

Brighton platform 4 simplifier
+------+--------+------+------+------+------------------------------------------------+------+--------+------------+
| ID | Arrive | Path | Plat | Line | Description | Pass | Depart | Activities |
+------+--------+------+------+------+------------------------------------------------+------+--------+------------+
| 5A31 | 06:20 | - | 4 | - | 0600 Lovers Walk T&RSMD - Brighton (SN 10/442) | - | - | N:1A31 |
| 2A12 | 06:26 | - | 4 | - | 0502 Victoria - Brighton (SN 4/377) | - | - | N:1B00 |
| 1A31 | - | - | 4 | - | 0630 Brighton - Victoria (SN 10/442) | - | 06:30 | - |
| 5A35 | 06:35 | - | 4 | - | 0625 Preston Park Sdgs - Brighton (SN 8/377) | - | - | N:1A35 |
| 1B00 | - | - | 4 | - | 0637 Brighton - Haywards Heath (SN 4/377) | - | 06:37 | - |
| 1A35 | - | - | 4 | - | 0651 Brighton - Victoria (SN 8/377) | - | 06:51 | - |
+------+--------+------+------+------+------------------------------------------------+------+--------+------------+

How am I supposed to deal with this situation? It seems that no matter what I do, some trains will be late or will be stuck. Is it an error of the timetable?

Use Platform 5. It is available till 07:49.

Seems that Brighton platform 6 also has a problem with 2T09 and 1A41... and 5A04

It wasn't uncommon for platform workings to contain that sort of error. When I was in the box we just worked with it; if there was an obvious alternative that was what we used (with suitable scribbles in the WTT), otherwise we played it by ear from do to day, with suitable quantities of phone calls to the platform supervisors to tell them where the trains were going to be today. Eventually, a workable pattern would usually emerge and we'd scribble in a few more alterations (and cope with the unavoidable slight delays).

Hello Alvin, use the Simplifier (F8) to determine a suitable platform. Use platform 4 instead of platform 6.

WTTs have all sorts of fun errors - trains that teleport (there is/was an early morning XC ECS that runs Temple Meads-Parkway, with its service train magically appearing at Bath Spa), trains that enter already occupied sections, trains running to impossible timings... As Simsig is meant to be accurate, we may as well pass on these errors to the signalman, just like in real life!

Just noticed a few more of them!

Does that mean that I am forced to use the "wrong" platform and get score penalty? Well...

but give yourself a pat on the back for spotting things that slipped through network rail's wtt

ps if you change the tt via f2 in game although the changes won't be saved permanently it will mean you won't get wrong platform penalty
