When is this shunt signal used. I routed a goods train 7F14 too far in the UGL so could not run round the engine into the HS so decided to go via shunt on down line then up main thinking I could use HJ12 to shunt back and reattach. Could not make it work! Using NWC Project X V1 TT.

Any help or explanation appreciated.

John,

I would suggest you talk the train past the signal.

If I am thinking on the same lines as you, you have a train stood on the UGL at signal HJ9 and are trying to get a locomotive from HJ12 onto the train in the loop?

If this is the case then there is a bug in the sim which I will raise with Karl as the loop should be permissive. Karl if you are reading this I have tried it on the latest version I have to hand and it still is an issue.

If this is not what you meant John, then feel free to correct me!

Steve

Hi Steve

Tried editing the TT for the loco run round by going to the shunt HJ48 at the oil terminal down line then rev onto up line to HJ2 shunt. Authorised it past the HJ2 signal but kept going. Stopped it and reversed but could not set route into UGL to attach again. Only solution for me is to shorten the train and follow the neck and Head shunt via the UGL siding which works.

Cheers
