In the above picture,I had received 5E55 in Rev siding no.1 but because it was longer,a portion remained outside near the first blue locked points to the left.Because it was outside the siding signal it should have asked for "Authority to Proceed" before starting from this location but at the time of departure it started off without as much as a phone call to the signaller.I think this is incorrect behavior as in Simsig, trains ask for permission if not starting from a proper signal.
Unfortunately I could not capture the screenshot of its location while resting in the Rev siding.
This is the Nov.2013 4 day TT and 5E55 is 240 meters long.

Khalid.

I have just tried to recreate this and found that the train phoned in "at buffer stops" and did not move until I told him to reverse.

In these circumstances I would not expect him to have to ask for authority to proceed as well.

Is this what happened for you?

There is also a bug in the timetable that it might be helpful to inform the writer of - namely that the train should not be booked in there anyway as he is too long.

Yes,the Train List did show that it was at the buffer stops and I did ask him to reverse out but as soon as I told him to reverse, the status in the train list showed that the train is stopped in the Rev Siding and showed its booked departure time. Also,it did not depart prematurely after I told it to reverse(as it should have done)but waited for the departure time and only then started off.

It is infact listed in the notes of the timetable that 12 cars will not fit into either of these sidings, and 5E55 is booked to reverse on Hornsey DS2 and NOT Hornsey Reversing Sidings.

I must confess to not having checked that - I just routed it as the above report.
