I have made 2 attempts at installing Westbury version 4.1. My OS is Windows 8.1 The first time the installation failed to run, reporting a compatibility error with my version of Windows. I re-downloaded the installation file and tried again. This time the installation completed as I would have expected. However, when I loaded the Loader Westbury does not appear on the list. I have got all the others in the list. however, as far as I can recall these were installed when my OS was Windows 7. Is this a Windows 8/8.1 issue and/or a problem with the location of the files? When you run the installer where does it default to try and install the sim?

If you reinstall with a path of C:/users/public/public documents/ Simsig. Open the loader, click "folder options", then tick all four boxes if they are not already.

Hello Thanks for your prompt responses. When I looked at the folder list only one was ticked. I ticked them all. Westbury still not listed. Just in case this was an issue I closed and re-started the loader. Still no Westbury? Log in to reply |

Do a search for one of the sims you can find and then a search for Westbury and drag it to where the others are. Do the same for the Timtables. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

Thanks Peter for your suggestion. Just for the record, someone else might come across this. When I did what you suggested I found I had 2 directories under 'Users'. One named Public Documents and one named public documents. I found Westbury in public documents and moved this from there to Public Documents. This worked, hurrah!
