Hey guys, I've just had a thought occur to me. Has anybody ever tried using a Teamspeak client or similar software during a multiplayer game? Would there be any problems using teamspeak with SimSig? Several people use Teamspeak or Skype, it all depends on personal preference. So far, I don't know of any issues that have been found while using this form of communication. Log in to reply |

Well, actually some people do regularly use TeamSpeak 3 during MP sessions (there is a server ts.SimSig-uk.net just for that, search the forum for more info about it). I'm not a great fan of it myself, because I prefer to have important stuff in writing rather than discerning it from barely hearable sounds where especially the numbers can be easily mistaken. And I like listening to the music while SimSigging. But many other people use it and like it.

People use software like TeamSpeak and Skype all the time with SimSig and there aren't any issues doing so. I know there is a SimSig TeamSpeak server somewhere. If its being used when multi-player games are played, I've seen hosting details contain that fact and which room on the server they are in though it may be in use all the time and people don't bother with mentioning it now. I personally use Skype a lot and have for years whilst playing and developing SimSig. The only advice I have is depending on your environment, a headset may be handy. Log in to reply |

The Simsig Teamspeak server has been running for a long time now (2012?), there's a fairly regular amount of people who use it, we also play some other railway related games such as OTTD.
