I couldn't see any reason why 5E02 needed to be routed via the Down Stewarts Lane / Atlantics, so I sent him straight down the main fully expecting the driver to accept the route without question. But now the driver is complaining of wrong route.  Probably an ex Tonbridge driver - I've heard they can be difficult.....

For that sort of thing to work any alternate routes must be specifically programmed by the sim developer. To force him to take that route you could edit timetable (via F2) to set current/next location to wherever the routes rejoin each other (I'm not familiar with the sim so don't know the details), or tell him to abandon timetable and re-assign it later. Driver could always take the route only to realise half a mile past the point of no return that actually he doesn't sign it any more and stops.

I would be astonished - and I'm sure so would Control - if a driver stopped at Grosvenor Bridge Junction and claimed that they did not sign the mainline. I would be more inclined to believe that they did not sign the route via Stewarts Lane, as it's a route that is seldom used (at least on the down) under normal conditions. To the best of my knowledge there are currently no Southeastern trains booked over that route except a couple on the up in the evening. That said, I've never known a driver not to sign it.
