Evening all,

Just a quick update on my Whiteball TT for Exeter sim. I know some people out there are waiting to get their hands on this TT, hence the update.

I have tried to host this TT a couple of times recently but problems arose. On the first attempt:

- a timetable clash saw 5Z89 run early to Exeter Central. This then prevented 1L20 leaving Exeter St. Davids on its designated route and it couldn't be sent any other route due to the platform arrangements. This was subsequently fixed by making 5Z89 wait 7 minutes at St. James Park.

- train 5B70 entered at Exeter TMD at 0421 but needed 1C99's platform and had to wait for 1C99 to depart Exeter St. Davids. This was fixed by revising 5B70's timings so that it waits 13 minutes for the platform to become available but the waiting period does not obstruct anything else from leaving the Exeter TMD as nothing else is booked to leave there until 0451.

On the second attempt to host it became apparent there was a timing clash on the Pinhoe - Honiton section. Admittedly I used the booked timings, rather than the timings that actually ran, for trains through Honiton. In addition I had suggestions that some info on the motive power for each train would be useful.

Therefore, having submitted the TTs for download, I got Geoff M to pull (remove) the file from the repository and I am now doing some changes as follows:

- revisions of descriptions for many of the trains in the timetable: all trains in passenger service, along with some of the 5xxx ECS workings, will now include start point, departure time and destination as usual but will now also include the operator, rolling stock & train length.

- most of the trains using the Pinhoe - Honiton route will have their timings looked at for any potential clashes and timings will be revised as necessary.

All this will take a bit of time to do but hopefully not too much. Once I get these latest changes sorted I will run a host and then rectify any last minute hitches before putting the TT up for release (finally!). I hope to get this TT released ASAP. In the meantime, thank you for your patience.

Dave
