There used to be an old steam train kept at platform 5 at Birmingham Moor Street. The other day I happened to notice that it's gone now.

Does anyone know what this train was and where it's gone?

480 posts 		I think it was put there as part of the station's renovation project in 2002. Why was it removed? Not sure. Platforms 3 and 4 have been reconnected to the network but I don't think platform 5 (where the loco sat) has been reconnected. Maybe there are future plans to reconnect and it needed moved.

It was still there in 2011 when I visited.
