There are swinging overlaps on the following signals that work in a similar way as on the Euston Sim with an overlap button.
NS58, NS62, NS39, NS268.

NS22 and NS23 at International do not have an auto facility

The alternative route buttons C, D, and G are used for the appropriate routes in and out of the station.

Do you know if the mid-platform signals can both be off at the same time?

The ones with points in between cannot, but in the sim the ones where they are literally back to back with no intervening track circuits will both clear at the same time.

To me, this does not seem right.

Stephen you are correct you cannot clear the back to back signals. There is a track circuit unit in between the back to back signals it is a ghost TC. It is there because you cannot connect 2 Westpac signal type units together you must have a track type unit between the 2. It can be done where required but you would have to use different signal units with the opposing locking omitted.

Ah, what the control tables don't tell you. Normally they would state opposing signals not locked but these control tables don't and I did wonder whether the Westpacs did it by default. Even then I would expect it to be stated in the control tables.

Can't do swinging overlap buttons at the moment - yes they were in Euston but the code for them was faulty and has been isolated until it can be rewritten.

NS22 and NS23 have auto buttons on the panel, labelled "22 AUTO" and "23 AUTO". Admittedly the scheme plans do not show auto buttons for those signals, and the buttons on the panel are not located immediately adjacent to the signal, unlike the one for NS24. So... what DO they do?!

The Main signal Westpacs are GM1 Main signal with Sub, GM2 Main signal without sub, GO1 Main signal with sub and overlap, yes there are 2 in New St station although not used in the usual overlap way, GO2 main signal with overlap no sub all with opposing locking built in and GXL signal unit with opposing locking omitted non in use on New St PSB.
I was up on the panel this morning and I did not notice the auto buttons for 22 and 23 will have another look tomorrow and check how they are wired.

Just for the record Wolverhampton currently Westpac MK1 will be re-signalled in August 2014 and transferred to WMSC. New St re-signalling phase 1 starts in 2016 and complete by 2018 and will end up in WMSC as a CBI.

I think Eddy is saying that there is opposing locking on these signals. I would of thought it should be stated on the tables under routes required normal.

yes that's what I meant.

Geoff you are quite correct NS22 and NS23 do have an Auto facility this was created when the turn back crossover was installed and yes the auto buttons are not adjacent to the signal buttons.
I think it depends on the age of the control tables what information is depicted in the case of New St this was commissioned in 1965.

Control tables for older installations do seem less detailed than their modern equivalents.
