Had a little look at Marylebone but not yet purchased.

One observation is that is a very "high" sim; i.e. running on a laptop it takes almost all the screen height so there's little spare room for ancillary windows such as messages and chat.

At the same time there's a load of empty space on the majority of the layout.

Is this to faithfully reproduce the actual IECC or some other styling guidelines?

Presumably it's a trade-off between vertical height and the length of the scroll- moving Banbury up and to the left would reduce height but increase the length by about a third of the current length.

Are you running with the LUL lines? That fills a lot of the space above High Wycombe- Wembley.

Right OK I see with the LUL switched on it makes a bit more sense as to the whitespace with it switched off.

Back to the height issue - it's worse than I thought as even if I extend the window to fit the entire screen it doesn't all fit on and I get a vertical scroll bar. And this is at 1920x1080 (admittedly 125%).

Reason: 125% not 125 dpi

Marylebone was made for Chiltern Railways, who allowed Geoff to release it to the public. The layout, I believe, replicates Chiltern's computer Train Description mapping system.
