hello and I am new here. So how can I start here as in trying to play the games. I tried to download a Westbury game but all it came up with is 5 pictures and I did not know how to open it to play it. Thank you in advance for any help. Log in to reply |

Hello and welcome. There are two formats of sims. The original format used to be a straight executable which after you installed it created a shortcut in program files. Simply click on the shortcut to run the sim (you'll need to make sure the SimSig system files are installed first before you do or the screen won't look right). The newer sims uses a .sim file and require the use of the SimSig loader. The get the newer sims to work here's what you need to do. 1) Download and install the SimSig system files. This will install a SimSig loader and a license manager amongst other things. 2) Download and install the sims. I recommend using the default locations as it will cause less trouble in the long run. 3) Some sims require a license, others are free. For licensed sims, assuming you have bought a license, you'll need to run license manager and use your forum credentials to log in then allocate a license to your machine. 4) Run the loader. I'd recommend checking for updates just in case. The rest from then on should be straight forward. Log in to reply |

To add to Lardybiker's post, Westbury is a Loader simulation and is available for free. For further details on installing simulations, see this Wiki page.
