All,

Would anyone mind telling me why train 5E30 is reporting the points are set against it when the route is set?

I'm guessing I have to manually switch some of the points? If so can you tell me which ones?

Thanks

Andrew

Can you attach a save? Can't see 5E30 on that picture. Have you authorised it to go past a signal at danger?

I would say that by looking at your screen grab, 5E30 is showing as still being at Finsbury Park. You have no trains at Hornsey reversing sidings (where you have the TD) so this would ook like 5E30 is infact being masked by the F2 window in this case.

It would make it a lot easier to diagnose a problem like that if you could upload a save from the time when the problem was occurring as it is not always possible to get all the information you need from a screen clip.

Not according to his F2. It's a while since I've been on KX to know whether the track circuit shows red or not when the trains are in the Hornsey Rev Sdgs. If the original poster is sure the train is in the Rev sdgs perhaps from F2 go into its TT and check where its current location is showing as. It may need to have Hornsey Rev Sdg selected and click on set current location

I would guess the train isn't in the reversing siding as thought, otherwise the track circuit would be shown as occupied.

Had a look. 5E30-1 is the train with TID 5E37-1. 5E37-1 is actually sitting back at sig 403 with 5E38-1 right at its back (and has overwritten 5E37-1's TID.)

I think! :yikes

Just had a test (as I also couldn't remember), but the sidings are track circuited (see attached).

5E30 is the train at signal 403 near Finsbury Park, which is incorrectly labelled as 5E37. It's somehow ended up facing in the Up direction- the point set against train is the trap point just beyond signal 391 on the Down Goods. You'll need to reverse the train (F2> Signalling options) to get it facing Down so it can proceed to Hornsey as timetabled.

All,

Thanks for your help.

How can I work out the correct TID for the train labelled 5E30 (currently in the reverse sidings)?

The other thing I have to do is work out how I got it wrong :-(

Thanks again

Andrew

LucasLCC has shown us that the piece of track where you have inserted the TD 5E30 is track-circuited. As it is not filled red to indicate occupation, then it looks as if there is no train there and all you need to do is unset the route and clear the TD out of the berth.
