Also Peter while I remember - whenever I see Clayhills Depot, HSTs and beds are always stabled next to the South College St wall, yet on the sim it's marked in reverse.
The sim is marked as per the plans and accords with the HST shed position on Google maps, if operationally they do something else then so be it.

What I can say is that I'm able to make some progress on this now: though the normal mantra will apply.

However the Compass Tours Saltburn - Aberdeen to Dundee special went through on Saturday 13 December.

Perhaps OK with advance notice ?

Bill

Unless things have changed out of all recognition, just about anything would be permitted with suitable advance notice and instructions to go with it. Good heavens, even a Royal could be put down a goods line (in the days when there were 'proper' Royals with the proper telegraph codes to match). The key is that, whatever the R&R or Appendix may say, there are specific instructions for the movement (which will specify exactly what actions are to be carried out and precautions are to be taken), invariably signed by a manager of suitable rank to make all legitimate.
