Hi everyone

Just doing the last bit off testing for a 2012 TT update on the Central. According to the diagrams I have, an 8 car 319 from Sutton is scheduled to reversal at Streatham platform 2 and go back to Sutton, however the train overhangs the shunt signal 171 and crossover and therefore is unable to reverse. I believe it should fit as train length is 164m and the platform around 190m. Is this a case of the track circuit length at Streatham platform 2 being too short in the sim?

Gareth

I reported an issue with 8 car non-reversing trains leaving their rear-end hanging out (forgive the vision!) fouling shunt 171, reported as fixed in V1.2, and issue closed out.

Edit: try making the stopping position near end {exact}, see if that forces a reverser to tuck itself in behind 171.

Must admit I have noticed the same. My Vic Central is up to date (updated yesterday). Does this perhaps need to be revisited again?

Sorry guys, I am in the business of making people wait!

Andy, tested again. All 319's at Streatham are overhanging the previous track circuit, train length of 164m.

The issue is not resolved, and needs to be reopened.

Cheers Andy

Near end exact stops its rear hanging out like a Kardashian! (I thought it was far end exact I needed :doh )

Hopefully SimSig trains are more pretty.... (I don't find the Ks attractive at all but maybe that's just me)

Apologies for bouncing an old thread but this still appears a problem and I cant see a way around it in the timetable I am playing. Any ideas please

As I suggested upthread, and TimTamToe confirms it works, just edit the TT of any reversers at P2 to make it near end ( or near end exact), and the train should tuck its rear end behind the down starter signal.

(If you wish, just sort the TT by exit location so any reversers appear together, or edit on the hoof before the train arrives.)

Thanks Andy, But put it simply I wouldn't have a clue how to do that so I think best bet is to remove the train, shouldn't have an adverse affect I guess
