Tonight on BBC4 from 2200 - 2300 is another run of a documentary called 'The Nation's Railway. the Golden Age of British Rail'. If its the same programme that was on Tuesday night then I'd recomend watching it. It features alot of footage from the British Transport film archives. Lots of footage of steam & diesels in BR green & blue livery taken all over the country as well as the development of the HST & APT trains. I'd recomend it to anyone with a railway interest.

Excellent programme, really shows what we're missing on the modern railway. There was so much character in the old loco classes and 'one-offs' like the Blue Pullmans. For an extra dose of nostalgia, there's an excellent youtube channel called RAILvintageTV.
