There are two 5D78 and they are on the panel at the same time.
5D78 / P22859 2320 Birmingham New St - Barton Under Needwood RSMD (XC 4/220+5/221)
5D78 / P53091 2328 Nottingham - Etches Park sdgs (EM 5/222)

When i phone Central Rivers, they refuse access for 5D78 as the system thinks it's the latter service, booked for Etches Park and not Central Rivers.

I've not tried it, but is it possible to offer them the UID rather than the headcode, i.e. put P22859 in the dialog? If the code is set to accept UIDs in phone calls then that would ensure the depot wasn't picking up details for the wrong 5D78

I thought that too but it will only accept Train ID. I've also checked the full Train ID to make sure it isn't -1 and -2 but no luck.

Try abandoning the TT of the EMT unit, phone up and get permission for the XC, then set the timetable back up again.

I'll look into the route cause of the issues.

No offence but i always thought the same headcode couldn't appear in the area more than once in twelve hours?

Are they technically in the same area - they both stay on individual parts of the panel as well, and neither goes near the other to become a confusion for the real signalmen.

I'm not sure on that one, i'd have thought the rule applied to a box / route rather than a panel, but it must be difficult with things like long distance freights.

It's something the planners try to avoid but high frequency, metro-style services necessarily reuse IDs through the day. Liverpool Street to Shenfield wraps twice a day, so there are three 2J01s, for example (well, maybe not exactly that ID) in one day, obviously less than 12 hours apart.

There are also examples in the Midlands of two trains passing each other in opposite directions with the same headcode, though I don't recall the headcodes.

The rule of thumb is no two trains with the same headcode in the same radio area at the same time, be it CSR, NRN or GSMR. In this case the two trains would be in different area's as each panel has it's own radio area.

6M99 (Unique ID H73459) has incorrect train characteristics.

Currently set as Medium (InterCity) acceleration/brake, 90mph max speed, 20m length.

Is any release for a fixed TT on the horizon? Noel seemed to have posted that he'd fixed the majority of things, but it's all been silent for a couple of months now! It's a shame when sims end up stuck with TTs that non-expert users can't run properly.

It's going through the process of testing at the moment with a revised simulation, *should* be out soon.

4M11 Washwood Heath-Peak Forest is in the corresponding Saltley TT, but not in the Derby one.

Happy New Year to all involved in putting these TTs together.

Just to echo previous comments, if I spot an oddity, I prefer to jot it down in the forum so someone can fix it if they feel like it, or others be aware of it; no way meant as any criticism.

One to get 2016 rolling:

1F18 arrives at Derby P4 11:07 and forms 5F18 11:22 ECS via Chad Curve. Meanwhile 2A31 (Matlock to Nottingham) is booked to use P4B at the same time 11:14 to 11:24.

It's now April 2016 and still no sign of an updated timetable. In June 2015, Hpotter reported a revised timetable & sim were being tested, but nothing seems to have appeared, so what's going on, Noel? It shouldn't take 12 months to fix the timetable errors that have been reported (and which you say you have fixed).

Please let us know what the current situation is regarding an updated timetable and sim.

I fully appreciate that work commitments have to take priority and that there is a life beyond SimSig. I also realise that you must have been very, very busy fixing the numerous problems that came to light following the release of your Huyton and Edgehill sims, but this is no consolation to the poor Derby users who have now been waiting over 12 months for an update to the WTT which is supplied with the Derby sim.

Soon after the release of the sim, several WTT errors were reported to you via the Forum, but 12 months later, we still don't have an updated version, and I just don't understand why. The release of a new version a couple of months after the initial release would have been very welcome, but I think it is very unreasonable when nothing has appeared after 12 months.

Do you have any plans to re-issue the WTT fairly soon or do we just have to wait until someone else uploads their own version?

Given how all the issues require minor fixes which quite a few of us on here are capable of, is it not possible to delegate it out?

If all the issues are logged on the forum and MANTIS, I'd be happy to take a look at them over the weekend?

Noel has asked me to sort out the Derby 2009 GHD TT & I have agreed to do it. Rest assured it is being worked on and it will be available in the fullness of time, but I hope to have it available to you all sooner rather than later (as I am a fan of the Derby sim!).

Don't see it mentioned here but the defensive driving rules are extremely harsh, bringing ECS down to 15mph on approach to signal in advance of Y, even if the subsequent signal has cleared to green.

Hopefully this and the other issues reported e.g. duplicates will be resolved.

Thanks
Jamie

The defensive driving rules in that timetable might or might not have some bugs of their own, but in any case there is also a known core code issue (Mantis 20507) whereby custom defensive driving rules don't properly take the signal sighting distance into account, so if a signal steps up to a less restrictive aspect, drivers continue at the old speed until they actually pass that signal, instead of as soon as the signal becomes visible.
Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick.
