hi all just updated coventry and because its an easy sim for one person i play with trains subject to delays however i loaded the simplifier and it shows you which trains are delayed all day....the time is currently 0445 but it shows delays at 1300 that afternoon could this be adjusted to only show dealys to trains that have set off.../ next hour maybe??

It's certainly good to see that delay information in the simplifier - many thanks to the team for adding that! I think the current arrangement for trains yet to enter the area is a fair compromise - in reality, of course, we can see the current delay to any train that's left its origin, but that wouldn't translate to an accurate estimate of the delay at the 'entry point'. Simsig, on the other hand, doesn't know anything about how trains are running before they enter the simulation (why would it?!) apart from the pre-determined delay. I suppose it might be possible to work out the departure time at the origin (from the text in the description) and only show the estimated delay after that - but is it worth the effort? I do, though, think it'd be really useful if the delay shown in the simplifier could be updated as the train passes each location in its schedule once it's entered the simulation, and if (as an option perhaps) trains could remain on the simplifier until they've actually passed the location instead of disappearing at their booked time - more like a TRUST line-up than a simplifier, I suppose (and even better if it showed the last reported location and time!). yea but very unrealistic to show a train at 2349 that night at 0445 in the morning? hence my suggestion of 2/3 hours in front maybe?

Maybe. Even so, though, I don't think many normally look that far forward on the simplifier!

Probably shouldn't show up until the phone call has been received informing of the delay to the Signalman, especially for trains that will not have even departed their origin location yet. It is not in any way uncommon for larger boxes to have simplifiers for a whole day ready to view with the Signalmen just flicking through the pages as required, although they are normally printed out and not dynamic documents - they use TRUST and CCF for delays.
