When selecting a simulation to play, I often hit the first letter of the Sim's name to find it quickly - for example, to play Saltley I'll hit "S", which should select the first item beginning with S. However, sometimes it's the second item beginning with the letter that is selected, and I can't work out why. I'm not holding the key long enough for repeat keypresses to be sent (I have to hold down for significantly longer to do that, and I don't have any issues with unexpected double keypresses), and the behaviour occurs on two separate computers. I can't pin down precisely what causes the list to select either the first or second item - however, it sometimes appears as if the first item is very briefly selected before skipping to the second, so perhaps a "select next item" command is being incorrectly generated. Any thoughts on this rather unimportant, but curious, issue? Log in to reply |
