Hi all, I was just creating some minor edits to the Multiple Units Characteristics and I started thinking about the way the blocks for the modern fleets are divided. Currently there is a block for EMU (AC or Dual Voltage), which includes all modern Class 3×× units (and now also many DC only units) and a block for EMU (DC), which includes all modern Class 4×× and 5×× units, whether they are three- or four-rail DC units. With the advent of Class 7×× and 8×× units approaching, would it be wise to merge these blocks into one, or to separate them out based on power type and not rely on the Class number for organising them? I don’t mind doing the editing, I just want to throw it out there to the rest of SimSig for your opinions first. Gwasanaethau (Mark). Log in to reply |

To be honest, I'd be happy with a single bulk list, as long as it was in numerical order. Perhaps you could have shortcuts to scroll down to 1xx, 2xx, and so on, but if I'm looking for class 390 info, I'll just use my browser's search function to find "390".

To be honest as long as all the information is maintained in a sensible format, this has some merit...
