Hello all, A couple of things: 1. Does anyone know why the limit through Buriton Tunnel is 40mph, even for 450's, 444's etc? Is there a gauging issue maybe? 2. Who covers the Portsmouth Direct line nowadays? Is Petersfield, Havant, Haslemere etc still open or do I recall the line being taken over by Fratton or something? If so what is the boundary to Guildford? Any help appreciated

I don't believe there's a signalbox at Fratton (except possibly something for the yard), you might be thinking of Havant — but I don't think it's taken over the Portsmouth Direct. Havant signal box (or what ever it is called) controls Portsmouth harbour to south of Petersfield. then the boxes are the same e.g. haslemare then farncombe (I think) then Guildford then Woking and Wimbledon.
