I have Simsig installed on a Mac under Crossover and have just downloaded the new timetable for the Westbury sim but cannot find the Simsig files to copy it to. I am probably missing something obvious, but any help would be appreciated.

I also use CrossOver on my Mac. When I installed SimSig I put it in a Bottle, called SimSig, and then installed all subsequent simulations into that Bottle.

When adding Timetables it gets a bit complicated, until you start thinking in Windows mode ;)

For Westbury I copied the WTT files into "~/Library/Application Support/CrossOver/Bottles/SimSig/drive_c/users/Public/Documents/SimSig/Timetables/Westbury". So, you could start by looking into you own "Library/Applications Support/Crossover/Bottles" directory to see where the simulation timetables are stored.

Hope this helps,
Ian

There are so many timetables now, its hard to work out what you have got and what you don't. Perhaps it would be an idea sometime for someone in SimSig to accumulate all the timetables into one big zip download. People could then extract the lot in one go and file into the correct folders.

The only problem with that is...

  • Everytime a new timetable is added the zip needs to be updated by someone.

  • Not everyone owns every sim and therefore needs every timetable.

  • No everyone wants timetables from the 1920s for example.

We've seen recently that a timetable can be updated via the loader. Though at the moment it's only official timetables.

Perhaps in the future this feature will be expanded.
