Some huge delays into and out of Cardiff Central after the rugby game on 19th September with large delays (in one case a delay of 143 minutes) including -in at least one case - a train from Bristol taking 40 minutes to get from Marshfield to Cardiff Central alone! http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/search/advanced/CDF/2015/09/19/0200-0159?stp=WVS&show=all&order=wtt Oh dear! Looks like those in the WROC must have been doing some stressful overtime. ATW / TAC and FGW drivers also and I feel sorry for the lot of them. The media have already sharpened the knives for FGW (sorry, should that be GWR now...!?) A friend of mine travelled down for the Ireland game on the Saturday and was kept in a "holding pen" for two hours at Paddington. Even if you should "expect stations to be extremely busy" not sure you should expect that! Log in to reply |

The surprise here is how this was not properly planned for . The schedules and volumes have been in evidence for quite a while now. BUT Can it possibly be SimSigged to try and get an appreciation of the problem ? Log in to reply |
