Hello all, Bit of a long shot, but does anyone know where I can get some Northern DMU diagrams, mainly for Liverpool <-> Manchester stuff, current ones or some backdates to circa 2011/2012 would be very useful, or I'd accept any sort of snapshot's of units that ran on a random current weekday. I assume this for a potential Lime Street timetable? Currently, the only Northern DMUs working routinely out of Lime St are on the Liverpool- Oxford Road via Warrington Central service. These are typically either single 156s, 142s or pairs of 142s. Liverpool- Wigan North Western, Preston, Manchester Victoria, Manchester Airport and Warrington Bank Quay are almost all single Class 319s. I guess anything pretty much get's chucked out onto the Manchester Oxford Roads? Well not quite for Lime Street SimSig, just though't I'd knock something up for the Railworks Liverpool Manchester route, mainly needed it for the WCML South route, but thought I could create a 142 or 150 scenario, wasn't sure if 150's or 142's still run along there

I'm almost certain no other classes of Northern DMU could work though. TPE services on the route are 185s (usually single, but there's a couple of doubles in the peaks), EMT are pairs of 158s all day. Actually I've got it wrong, it would have to be just before electrics actually. It's the Irlam/Liverpool South Parkway route which is 319's is isn't it? The Eccles route is the one it doesn't cover. I get my routes mixed up round there, and not sure what was used even before 319's, last time I was up that way was 8+ years ago! Log in to reply |

The Liverpool- Manchester Airport (via Newton-le-Willows) and Liverpool- Manchester Victoria went over to 319 operation in March this year, Liverpool- Wigan North Western in May, and Liverpool- Warrington Bank Quay and Liverpool- Preston (formerly Liverpool- Blackpool, service temporarily shortened to release DMUs quickly) in October. Formerly, they were worked by a mix of 142s, 150s and 156s, with 156s working the majority of Airport and Blackpool services.
