I am a recent convert to SimSig simulations and being retired I have oodles of spare time which needs to be occupied! Having dabbled over the years with sims from both the Signalling Centre (now deceased I believe) and PC Rail, I have to say that in my opinion your sims are more realistic and much better value for money, a fact that you will probably all agree with. My first SimSig sims were Horsham and Portsmouth, chosen from the 'beginners' selection. I obviously made numerous mistakes to begin with, but am gradually beginning to learn the ropes. I've even dared to introduce failures and delays! Makes for a more interesting and challenging experience. I frequently add sticky notes, check timetables, the train list and my Performance. This brings me to a question which relates to the scoring. Generally speaking, would I be penalised more for sending a passenger train into an 'incorrect' or 'opposite' platform rather than delaying the train which can't be sent to the 'correct' platform because that is already occupied by another delayed train. I do understand that the degree of 'delay' also has a bearing on the score, as does the alternative platform to which it is sent, but, in the sim, which would you say incurred the least penalty points? It may be that there isn't much difference, or no answer at all. However, I'd be interested in any comments. I have recently downloaded the Brighton and Kings Cross sims both of which I have yet to play, but would nevertheless like to make a donation to show my appreciation to the developers and testers for all their hard work. I have ploughed through a large number of items in the Forum looking for an answer to the following question, but to no avail, as all I could find had an answer that doesn't seem to help. Now for the question: I'm at the 'checkout' and can see the two sims and the amounts that I wish to donate (at this stage). There is a box that requires a coupon number. Where do I get this number from? There doesn't seem to be anywhere else where I can provide any other information (which was suggested in a previous answer). I have attached a screenshot of the 'checkout' in case this helps. Any assistance would be gratefully appreciated. Bugsy ![]() Post has attachments. Log in to view them.
